Motorola prepping a quad core powered iPad 3 competitor

According to a report from Fudzilla, shared by Android and Me, Motorola is working on a Honeycomb based iPad 3 competitor that may go live in the month of August.

Fudzilla sources didn’t have knowledge about the specs or the name that Motorola will associate with the rumored Tablet. Will Motorola call it the XOOM 2? No one knows. But one thing we know is that it will employ NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 chip, a quad core processor that delivers 5 times the performance of its predecessor NVIDIA Tegra 2.

While the inclusion of quad core processor in a Tablet will delight the gamers, one thing which I will be keeping my eye on is how the battery behaves considering it has to supply power to four cores. Currently, we have no information on the specs front. But knowing the rumor mill, we see this information leaking out in the coming weeks and months. So stay tuned, and subscribe to our TwitterFacebook and RSS Feed to ensure that you get the latest technology bits as and when they arrive.
