Samsung Galaxy Y Pocket S5300 : Close Kin of Galaxy Y
Samsung are back to basics and they say there's always room for one more in the low end. Especially one that doesn't take too much space. The Galaxy Pocket makes the Galaxy Mini look like it's on steroids and the Y series like a bunch of semi pros.
Life at the bottom of the food chain is far from enjoyable but it can be pretty exciting, and some creatures have figured out how to adapt. They're usually small, fast and good at mimicry. The Galaxy Pocket meets the size requirement, but we'll have to check about the speed. And no, no one will mistake it for a trimmed down S III but some feature phones may be fooled into getting too close.

Samsung refreshes 13-inch Series 9 laptop, adds two 11-inchers to the mix
It's only been three months since we drooled over the thin, powerful, expertly built -- and expensive! --Samsung Series 9. Of course, that's dog years in the world of consumer electronics -- the company has just refreshed its premium 13-incher, adding a Core i7 processor option, a 256GB SSD (up from 128GB), and 6GB of RAM to the highest-end model. While Samsung was at it, it added two 11-inch models, the lower-end of which which starts with a Core i3 processor, 64GB SSD, and 2GB of RAM. All told, you'll find two 11-inchers and three 13-inch models, ranging in price from $1,049 to $2,049, leaving the one we reviewed three months ago $300 cheaper. The expanded line of sophisticated, ultra-thin and lightweight models includes five different configurations designed to meet the needs and budgets of a variety of users.
"We've seen a very positive reception to the original Series 9 models introduced at CES earlier this year," said Scott Ledterman, director of mobile PC marketing at Samsung Enterprise Business Division. "As we look to expand the line for the remainder of the year, we've maintained the premium duralumin design and form factor while offering consumers a wider range of options and powerful performance."
Upgraded Performance to Match Unparalleled Styling
Samsung has packed the three new 13.3-inch models with powerful performance enhancements, creating a more dynamic experience for the consumer. The new 13.3-inch models maintain the 2.89 lb, 0. .62-inch thin form factor and feature Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 processors, while bulking up storage capacity and increasing speeds. Samsung brings two 11-inch versions to market as well for consumers looking for an even more compact mobile computing option.
The new Series 9 laptops retain the sleek, breakthrough duralumin design, which is twice as strong as aluminum. This design choice, coupled with rugged solid state drives (SSD) for storage, makes the Series 9 an attractive option for frequent travelers looking for an ultra lightweight solution that can withstand the bumps that come from time on the road.
For added functionality and ease of use, the entire Series 9 line features a bright backlit keyboard for added productivity in dark environments. Samsung Galaxy S II review
f you don't already know all about the Samsung Galaxy S II, where have you been the past two months? The successor to one of the most popular Android handsets to date carries a burden of expectation almost as sizable as its 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen. It promises to be thinner, lighter, and faster than the Galaxy S that preceded it, while garnishing Android 2.3.3 with a set of TouchWiz customizations that might actually enhance, rather than hinder, the user experience. As such, the Galaxy S II earns Samsung full marks for ambition, but does this slinky new smartphone live up to its interstellar hype? The answer, as always, can be found after the break.

Samsung Galaxy Z to arrive soon, the cheaper Galaxy S II substitute
Those of us who were excited about the Galaxy S II, but weren’t willing to invest so much for a phone, will probably be happy to know that a cheaper alternative is around the corner, and when it arrives, will be much like the Galaxy S i9003 was for the Galaxy S i9000. Spotted for pre-order online over on Swedish carrier, Three, the device is called the Galaxy Z. With the same design as the Galaxy S II i9100, the Galaxy Z i9103 features near identical specifications, apart from a different, smaller display; a slower dual-core processor; less inbuilt storage; and a lower quality camera. As it has a Tegra 2 dual-core processor, we don’t expect it to retail at the Galaxy S i9003’s price level of course, but enough to become a serious option for potential i9003 purchasers. The Galaxy Z has been announced at an pre-order price of 3995 Swedish kronor (roughly Rs. 28,000). We’ll keep you up-to-date on any further leaks or official announcements.
The device is also not as slim as the SII, wider at its slimmest by about 1 mm, at 9.5 mm. Not shabby at all for a cheaper alternative to the current-gen top-end offering, but of course, a price figure would help that assessment.The Samsung Galaxy Z has a 4.2-inch Super LCD display instead of the S II’s 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus offering; comes with aNvidia Tegra 2 1GHz dual-core processor instead of the 1.2GHz Exynos dual-core processor; features 8GB of inbuilt storage in place of the 16GB and 32GB offerings; and, has a 5MP 720p HD camera instead of the 8MP 1080p HD camera.
