Here’s how you can get the App Store rejected iDOS on your iPad/iPhone

You may have heard about iDOS, the 99 cent app that made an appearance on the App Store and was later removed from the App Store. What if we told you that you can still get the DOSbox based open source DOS emulator on your iDevice? Yes, you guessed the source, its none other than the highly popular jailbreak App Store, Cydia. Instructions to get the app follow after the jump.

The emulator is available for Cydia but under a different name – DOSPad. The functionality remains the same as before – a universal app that has PC keyboard support, mouse support, multiple screen modes, and more. In short you can use it to experience the classical experience on your iDevice. Supported devices include iPhone 3GS/iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 4G(without success).

Step 1: Jailbreak your iDevice by using one of the following guides:

    Step 2: Launch Cydia.

    Step 3: Switch to the Manage screen.

    Step 4: Tap Sources.

    Step 5: Select the Edit button.

    Step 6: Click the Add button.

    Step 7: Add the following repo:

    Step 8: Switch to the Search screen and search for DOSPad.

    Step 9: Select the app and tap the Install button.
